CYO

The Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) of St. Joseph, Gluckstadt is designed to help foster Catholic values within our children and teens that will help them to hear and respond to the call of Jesus Christ in their lives. We ask our youth to participate in the mission of the Church, to contribute to all in our faith community, and to bring their individual energy, zeal and vision that the world so desperately needs.

Consistent with Catholic teaching, we stress Gospel values, the dignity of each and every person, and discipleship through our programs and services. To date we have been active in:

Adopt-A-Road- Roadside trash pickup and disposal

Stew Pot- Local charity that provides meals for the needy

Assisting the Knights of Columbus with Tootsie Roll Sales, Blood Drives, and Nursing Home picnics

Hurricane Katrina relief- shelter volunteers, debris clearing as well as fund raising activities
